Job Title: Car Show Assistant

Description/Purpose: help the car show run smoothly for attendees.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Asssemble dinner bags (consising of a hot dog,chips, ketchup/mustard packets, napkin, piece of fruit and a sweet treet)
• Help distribute dinner bags to car show attendees.
• Assist with set up and take down.
• Assist with prize drawing.
• Assist with registration.

Age Requirement: Must be at least 12 years old.

Qualifications Needed: No previous experience necessary.  This position is ideal for friendly people who enjoy working with their hands.

Time Commitment: 3.5 hours.

Work Location: Scera Park, 600 S State in Orem.  Please check in at the main pavilion.

Training: A brief training session will be held when you arrive for your shift.

Uniform: Wear comfortable clothing and shoes.  Bring a jacket in case of inclement weather. A T-shirt will be provided.

Benefits: In addition to the good feelings that come from serving your community, each volunteer will receive an Oremfest T-shirt and a thank-you goodie bag.

Volunteer Agreement

I represent to the Oremfest Committee ("Committee") that I am fully authorized to sign for and bind the undersigned volunteer ("Volunteer") regarding participation in Oremfest.  On behalf of the Volunteer, I agree to comply with all rules prescribed by the Committee as deemed necessary for the efficient and safe conduct of the Oremfest and related activities.  I agree to conduct myself in a proper, appropriate manner during the Oremfest and related activities and to not engage in any activity that is dangerous or likely to cause harm, injury or damage to the person or property of others.

RIGHT OF TERMINATION: I understand that the Committee reserves the right to restrict or reject my participation without liability to the Committee.  Any member of the Committee may exercise this right at any point in time, before or during the Oremfest, for any reason considered by the Committee to be inconsistent with the goals, values, and objectives of the Oremfest.

INDEMNIFICATION: As a condition of being a participant in the Oremfest, I agree to assume full responsibility for my conduct and to indemnify and hold the Oremfest, the Oremfest Committee and their respective volunteers, representatives, and agents; and the City of Orem and its officers, officials, employees, representatives, volunteers and agents; and all others having any responsibility therefore, harmless from any liability, claim, loss or expense (including attorney's fees) caused by or arising from (a) any conduct or negligence by me (b) any act of any Oremfest participant or spectator (c) any infringement or violation by me of the rights of others.

I understand that the Committee reserves the right to screen volunteer applicants and will place applicants in specific locations and positions based on the needs of the Committee.  I understand that I will not be paid for my services as a volunteer, and I am giving my time freely to the Oremfest.

I understand that submitting this volunteer application does not automatically guarantee my participation in Oremfest, and that I will be notified in writing of such acceptance.
